Thu 21st Mar 2013 Peter Delaney Joins OOAL!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Peter Delaney to the label, with his keenly-awaited new album Witch Bottle to be released on Friday, May 10th, 2013 on CD and digital formats.

Peter Delaney is a Limerick born songwriter who draws inspiration from traditional songs and old folk music as well as the lilting melancholy of vintage Hawaiian recordings. In 2007 Peter self-released his debut mini album ‘Duck Egg Blue’, which was re-released through Deadslackstring Records in 2011. He brought out a limited live CD through Apolloaan Recordings in 2010.

A taster of Witch Bottle will be unveiled via www.soundcloud.com/OOAL on April 10th, when album opener 'My Eyes Are Blessed' will be streaming. The release of the album will coincide with a hometown launch at Dolan's Upstairs on Saturday, March 11th, with more dates to follow around Ireland in May and June.

 

About Us

Out On A Limb Records is an independent record label based in Limerick City, Ireland. The label was set up in the summer of 2003 with the release of "Is it OK to be loud, Jesus?", the debut album from local band giveamanakick. Since then, we've put out records for a number of bands, including Crayonsmith, giveamanakick, Hooray For Humans, Owensie, Rest, Ten Past Seven, Waiting Room and windings, along with a number of split 7" singles and digital releases.

The label is very much run on a DIY ethos, and aims to continually release innovative, quality recordings that are kept to a low cost for the listener. All OOAL releases can be found in all good record shops in Ireland. While currently we don't have overseas distribution, all releases are available worldwide via our website. All releases since 2007 have also been available digitally.
